FILM "V" 100 135 16
Washi "V" 35mm film
The "V" film is a new artisanal film, more transparent, more sensitive and with a greater exposure latitude. Hand-coated on Gampi craft paper made by Awagami Factory in Japan. Available in France since November 2017.
Sensitive to the whole spectrum, this film is a very good choice for landscapes to which it brings a unique pictorialist effect. It is also great for portraits and all classic subjects.
In 135 format, it is important to gently use the cocking lever and to never exceed 16 shots, at the risk of tearing the sprockets. The "V" film in 135 is not suitable for camera with automatic film advancing.
Exposure: Coated with real film emulsion, "V" has a real nominal sensitivity of 100 iso, but can be held or pushed by one or two diaphragms like any conventional film.
Scanning: "V" film can be scanned transparently, like an ordinary negative on a flatbed scanner
BE CAREFUL, this particularly delicate film requires a manual process in a tank in our laboratory.
