≪ ONE LAST SUNSET, BEFORE I GO ≫

From Monday, November 17 to Saturday, January 3, 2026, our Lamartine Street store is pleased to showcase the work of photographer Jean-Pierre Guenec. Nature images shot on Hasselblad, printed on Washi W paper, for a series that combines texture and contrast in monochrome.
“What I love about photos on Washi W film is this assertion that we are in fiction, in storytelling—or better yet, in writing.
You can see all the hesitations, both from the light and from the photographer.
You can feel time pausing, stretching into textured traces in the blacks, dark stains in the whites, and blurs more generally—blurs that only the viewer’s imagination can attempt to fill in.
The photographer is not the only one at the helm!
The title came naturally while looking at these figures by the water, rocked by the sound of the waves, as if in prayer.
It’s also an echo of my age…”
