How can I order a film development from Nation Photo's website ?

Start by clicking on "Film development" from our "ESHOP" drop-down menu, and follow the instructions from our online counter. Once your selection is done, a summary of your order will appear. Select the amount of developments required, and add your order to the basket by clicking on "Add to cart".

Once your order has been paid for and confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email including your receipt and a prepaid remittance slip for you to print and stick onto your envelope (it must be printed to be a A5 or 15x23cm size).

You then need to put your films into an envelope (we strongly recommend a padded envelope to ensure your films do not get damaged during transport) and post it into your nearest post box.

I haven’t received a confirmation email. What can I do ?

Our emails can sometimes slip into your spam folders, so start by checking there !

How can I send in films ?

After having placed an order, print off the prepaid remittance slip (which is attached to the confirmation email you receive) in a A5 format, and stick it onto a padded envelope. Slip your films into the envelope, and make sure you write your name, surname, address and receipt number on the back. Then post it off to us in your nearest post box! PLEASE NOTE : The prepaid remittance slips are only valid on packages weighing up to 100g (approximately 4 films). If you are posting over 4 films, please send them in different envelopes, or pay for the postage yourself by having it weighed at the post office.

What are the turnover times for film developments ?

Once we have received your films, you can usually expect them to be processed within 48 hours, for standard developments. These turnaround times do however vary according to what time of the year it is. During or after holidays, and around Christmas, you must expect developments to take longer. Developments such as E6 processing and manual developments, as well as high definition scans, will take 1 to 2 weeks. After processing your films, they will go through our strict quality control tests — where we carefully check each frame on every negative, every print and every scan — to avoid any errors where orders would have to be sent back. This step can take between 24 and 48 hours. If there are no errors, we then proceed to posting your completed order back to you.

How can I track and follow my order?

Each order is very important to us and monitored closely, so we send you an email at every stage of the process: upon receiving your films at our lab, whilst they are being processed, printed, or scanned, whilst your order is going through our quality controls, and when it is sent back to you and delivered. We also offer a text message service for 1€, to also receive all these notifications by text message to your phone.

What happens if my film is blank?

Films which have no images on them are considered blank. In this situation, we will refund you your order minus a 3€ processing charge. The remaining sum will be refunded as credit that you can use on our website for a year.

How will my negatives be cut ?

By default, when you order prints and/or scans with your film developments, your negatives will be cut into strips of 4 frames. It’s possible to ask for a different cut in the "comments" box when you place your order. When you are ordering film processing only, we leave our clients the choice between different cuts. If the client does not pick one, by default we will send you the negatives back uncut and rolled up.

What different payment methods are available on the www.nationphoto.com website ?

Only returns where the product is unopened or where the original wrapping is intact will be accepted, except in the case of a defective product. Refunds are made directly to your Paypal account in the case of payment having been made via that platform, or in the case of a payment by credit card, in the form of a spending credit on our website which can be used on all products and services for one year.
