[PHOTO CONTEST 2025] Analog Day and prize-giving ceremony

THE ANALOG DAY

AND AWARDS CEREMONY FOR "L'ENVERS DU DÉCOR" CONTEST

On Sunday June 29, join the Nation Photo team at the Rotonde Stalingrad to celebrate argentic photography with a capital A! Every year, to celebrate the end of our major silver competition held in May, we put our hearts into creating THE perfect day to celebrate silver photography, bringing together its community of passionate⋅es. After taking the form of an evening, then a half-day, this year the lab is seeing things BIG by organizing an entire day of festivities, from 11am to 8pm.

3 ROOMS, 3 ATMOSPHERES

The Mini-Club will be transformed into a photo showroom to discover and admire the photographic work of the jury members. Jérémie Villet will host a talk at 5pm and sign copies of his book, available on site.

The Atrium (the heart of La Rotonde) will host several stands: sale of Pentax 17 cameras from the competition, diagnosis and sale of second-hand cameras by Hadrien de Pelloche Moi, sale of photo books by Four Eyes Edition and film by Nation Photo.

The photo exhibition of the jury's favorites will be on view from 11am, and the 3 winning shots will be revealed at 7pm during the announcement of the winners⋅es and the prize-giving ceremony. The event will feature a DJ set by Jensen Sound to accompany your musical visit.

The Refuge will be reserved for portfolio readings organized by UPP and Four Eyes Edition (by reservation only).

From 7pm onwards, we'll meet up with everyone under the Atrium for the announcement of the winners⋅es of the competition, the prize-giving ceremony and the Tombola draw (films to be won!).

PHOTOCALLS & LABO MOBILE

On either side of the Atrium are two covered terraces.

The one on the left will host a photocall run by Thibaut Piel from Le Sel lab, who will recreate the world of his lab and tell you all about his expertise in black-and-white development and enlarger printing. He'll be joined by his friends and colleagues Léopold and Choucri from The Analog Club, who'll be selling books, zines, prints, silver boxes and accessories. The one on the right will host a photocall run by Polaroid expert Raul Diaz, who will shoot your portrait with an 8X10 view camera.

ÀAt the far end of the terrace you'll find our Labo Mobile: our mobile processing truck! If you've just finished your film, you can drop it off to be developed, scanned and printed.

OUTDOOR

Where there's a silver event, there's a photowalk. Just as the participants in the L'Envers du Décor contest did, you too can try out the Pentax 17 half-format camera loaded with 6-exposure film (for a total of 12 photos) by reserving your place on one of the 4 photowalks we'll be running around the Rotonde and the Canal de l'Ourcq (booking details to follow). At the end of these strolls, the films you shoot can be developed in the Labo Mobile!

Polaroid photowalks, or “Polawalks”, will also be led by Fred Vinolas, with an Emulsion Lift workshop after each walk (booking details to follow).
