YEARBOOK 2025
The project
Since 2003, Nation Photo has been bringing together a community of photographers passionate about film photography. From amateurs to professionals, the idea was to celebrate their work and thank them for so many years of loyalty and engagement with our photo lab.
We came up with the idea of creating a book that would showcase the most beautiful photographs captured by our clients. First featured in a series of Instagram posts called Best of the Month, and later through newsletters and blog articles, the goal was to gather them all into one unique, tangible object. We selected images from our community—either from Instagram or from the film scans we process daily in our Paris and Lyon stores. This marks our very first photobook and represents an ambitious editorial project. To bring it to life, we collaborated with the expert team at Four Eyes Editions.
Traditionally, a yearbook is a publication that compiles the highlights of a school year, popular in English-speaking countries. It showcases memorable moments such as competitions, trips, and cultural events. Here, our yearbook has been designed as a refined, carefully crafted publication. It traces a full year of creativity—from autumn to summer—and this first volume covers the year 2024–2025. As you turn the pages, you move through the four seasons, with each photograph accompanied by technical details such as the camera and film used, as well as written texts.
This book is dedicated to our community of film photographers—amateurs and professionals alike—who have shared their sensitive and creative vision. To all those who continue to believe in this medium, to practice it, and to keep it alive beyond trends.
From production to finished object
Our project came to life in Bologna, Italy, on the presses of L’Artiere, where it was transformed into a tangible object—a book gathering an entire year of stories told through the film photographs of our community. The book features 140 photographs captured by 122 photographers, spread over 176 pages. During the pre-order period, each buyer could choose the cover photo of their copy from among the images selected for the YEARBOOK.

To celebrate the book’s release, we hosted a launch event on Thursday, October 2nd, in our Monge (Paris) and Lyon stores. The photographers featured in the book came together to meet, exchange ideas, present their images, and discover each other’s work over a drink.
A selection of photographs from the book is on display for the occasion until October 26th (Lyon), October 31st (Monge, Paris 5th), and November 15th (Lamartine, Paris 9th). Guests were able to browse through both the mock-up and the final version of the book.
